Edo Attorney General Affirms Government's Commitment to Enhancing Capacity for Sustainable Development

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Edo State, Dr. Samson Osagie has affirmed Government’s readiness to enhance human capacity across all sectors of the State.

Dr. Samson Osagie who made this commitment while playing host to members of the International Law Students Association (Uniben Chapter) at his office in Benin City, assured them of Government’s support in enhancing intellectual property resources as a way of improving sustainable development.

The Attorney General further explained that the present administration prioritized the people’s needs and the rule of law, reaffirming the need for building human capacity, as it would aid in driving sustainable development across all sectors of the State.

Speaking earlier, the Secretary of the International Law Students Association (Uniben Chapter), Faith Morka, explained that they had been selected to represent Edo State and Nigeria at the International Rounds of the IBS ICC Moot Court Competition at The Hague, Netherlands, suing for the support of Edo State Government.

The Secretary further commended the State Government, led by Governor Monday Okpebholo, for it’s efforts and commitment in human and Infrastructural Development since its inception in Office.

In the same vein, The Attorney General also received leaders and exco members of Ohuan Ward in Uhunmwode Local Government Area, who sued for Unity in the Local Government.

He pledged to support efforts towards ensuring unity in the Area, highlighting the importance of collaboration and cooperation in driving progress.
